Standard Gastrostomy Tube
Standard gastrostomy tubes with balloons are used as a replacement feeding tube. First, a hole should be created between the stomach and the abdominal wall using percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tubes, which typically takes around 6 weeks to form properly, although complete formation of the gastric hole may take longer. Subsequently, standard gastrostomy tubes are used as long-term feeding tubes.
